Sepsis claims the lives of 52,000 people a year in the UK alone. That's more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer combined! Sepsis takes 6 million lives a year globally. UKST believes that earlier diagnosis could save 14,000 a year and so aims to end preventable deaths from sepsis.
