Why I'm doing this challenge now and independently (solo): In dedication to my grandfather John Wilson who's passion for the British great outdoors and landscape photography sparked my core passions today; we would share images we took on trips apart and take long walks along the Northumberland Coast. John was falsely diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and died from MND far too young and never got the retirement he was long waited for. I don't believe in waiting to for a retirement, life must be lived to it's fullest with the time we have in the very moment. In memory of my grandfather, over the last 24 months I have hiked all 214 Wainwrights, the Welsh 3000s and now the final challenge before I turn 30, is to complete the National 3 Peaks challenge solo as a testament to human endurance, to do what you enjoy in life, especially whilst you can. My hill fitness is on point, I'm raging to start and aim to complete this in under 18 hours Snowdon to Ben Nevis.
23 hours and 57 minutes
The National Three Peaks Challenge takes in the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales, often in 24 hours.
