For World Autism Acceptance Week (WAAW) Reece & Alex Prigg of Northants All Stars will be taking on the National 3 Peaks challenge. This challenge consists of climbing the highest mountains in England, Scotland & Wales in only 24 hours. Their journey will start at Ben Nevis in Scotland, then to Scafell Pike in England before finishing at Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) in Wales. The total walking distance of this challenge is 37km with a total ascent of over 3000 meters (10,052ft). At Northants All Stars we know full well that autism and being different is a super power, but unfortunately that isn’t the case everywhere. Autistic people face discrimination and barriers across all sectors of society – in the health and social care systems, in education, in employment, and everywhere in between. It is crucial that autistic people, and their families and carers, can access tailored information, guidance and support to overcome those barriers, along with opportunities to explore their interests, develop skills and build friendships for fulfilled lives. Your donation, no matter how small, can help us support this great cause. We know times are hard so alternatively National Autistic Society are asking people to complete a 5k run or walk. We would love to see as many of you getting involved as possible and make sure to tag us on instagram @northantsallstars_fc so we can see all your amazing work. Together we can make every step count to create a society that works for autistic people and every penny donated this World Autism Acceptance Week enables us to do this.
