Twelve of us will be partaking in ‘The National Three Peaks Challenge’, to raise money for charity. On the 28th of May we set off on our travels to climb the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales, all within 24 hours, to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. The challenge will start on the 29th of May, where we will start the climb at Ben Nevis. After climbing Ben Nevis we will drive down to England and take on Scafell Pike before heading to the last leg, Snowdon. We will be traveling in a minibus with two drivers who have an equally challenging task on their hands. Overall, we will be climbing what is the equivalent to a marathon, with the additional challenge of it being completed within the 24hr cut off… we will then finish up, somewhat broken men, on the 30th of May. However, it’s not all for nothing, the motive is to raise money for charity. For me, back in 2021 I unexpectedly lost my father with unknown heart issues. He himself was fit, healthy, and had done this challenge back in 2010. So I will now be doing this in his honour, to raise money for a great cause. A charity close to our hearts since that time. If you can spare any donations as I look to follow in the old man’s footsteps (literally), hopefully beating his time on the way, it would mean the world. There are other stories among the troops, all who have their own motivations and stories behind why we are doing the challenge. This is a group donation so feel free to stop and chat with them about the trip and hopefully we’ll raise a few quid for a great cause. The entire group is as follows: 9 climbers- Ashley Colston Ashley Hiscocks Morgan Parry Jonathan Russell Samuel Burke Dylan Ronan Matthew Roche Rhys Pascoe Nick Vanderpump 2 drivers/ chefs- Andy Fuller David Coombe Thanks for taking the time❤️
