A group from Southend Synergy Scout Network (18-25yr Scouts) are taking on the Three Peak Challenge in late October. The team will travel up overnight on Thursday 24th Oct, enjoying a day in Scotland before the challenge starts at 07:00 on Saturday 26th Oct, with the aim of finishing by 07:00 the following morning. Weekly training has been ongoing since May 2024 to ensure the team are fit and capable of completing the challenge. 8 network members will be accompanied by two leaders taking on the challenge, as well as 2 support vehicles/teams, who will be following their progress, making sure they are fed and get plenty of rest whilst driving between mountains. Fundraising will be gained, with 50% going to the Southend Synergy Scout Network and 50% going to MS Society. More information to follow.
