My sister Eleanor was born with a rare genetic condition called Coffin Lowry Syndrome. She has faced many challenges as a result. Eleanor is amazing, strong and determined and with support she has broken through barriers to get to university to study forensic science, which has be a longstanding dream for her. Accessing support and services when you have a little known genetic disorder can be really difficult. Around 3.5 million people in the UK are affected by rare conditions, which are individually rare but collectively common. Around one in fifty thousand people are affected by Coffin Lowry Syndrome. My friends Anuj, Ben, Charlie, Dylan, Luca and I are going to do the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for Genetic Alliance UK. Genetic Alliance UK campaigns for timely diagnosis, better coordinated care, and improved screening, testing, services and treatment for rare conditions. We would love it if you would sponsor our efforts and help us raise money for this worthwhile cause. Thank you Tom Roberts
The Yorkshire Peaks Challenge involves climbing Pen-y-ghent, Ingleborough and Whernside, often within 12 hours.
