Walk for Tilly.T.

My story My name is Stuart Thistleton (also known to friends as Fizz), I am the proud father to 2 beautiful girls, Poppy and Tilly, and husband to Pam. In October 2023, as a family we received the devastating news that Tilly had been diagnosed with Mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) IIIA (Sanfilippo Syndrome💜), a rare genetic metabolism disorder, otherwise known as childhood dementia. As the disease progresses, it will take away Tilly’s ability to walk, talk and eat, eventually taking her life. There is currently no CURE, but live in hope that with awareness comes more research to find a cure, and HOPE for the children and families around the world. The Charity As it stands the MPS Society is the only UK Charity that supports families with children who have MPS. The MPS Society celebrates International MPS Awareness Day on May 15 each year. The week-long celebration raises awareness of MPS conditions and encourages those affected to share their stories. The Challenge The MPS Awareness Week 💙 seems the perfect time to do the challenge. On Friday 16th May 2025 & Saturday 17th May 2025 i will be taking part in The National Three Peaks Challenge, alongside a group of family and friends, and hopefully along the way raise as much money in support of the charity. I am planning to do the challenge in the following order within 24hours 🤞: 1/ Ben Nevis 2/ Scafell Pike 3/ Snowdon THANK YOU for all the support from family and friends already, especially those who are completing the challenge with me. Many thanks Stuart, Pam, Poppy & Tilly xx #WalkforTilly.T.
