Twin Tigers Community Partnership (TTCP) aim to provide a safe space which helps individuals feel part of their community. We want to support adults, children & groups who need a safe, controlled space to support better mental health and well-being by showing them new skills, through learning a new sport and providing purpose, discipline and friendship which they can use in all aspects of life. Through fundraising and sponsorship we aim to provide scholarships to enable people who are currently not able to afford access to physical exercise to come and focus their frustrations and work on their mental health in a safe environment. We will be working with others within the community, such as local schools, the police & social care/services as well as other community groups to offer support to as many as possible. Sport, especially martial arts, are proven to reduce stress and anxiety by encouraging the practice of deep breathing, meditation & mindfulness. It helps train the mind to keep attention focused and the physical outlet encourages better control. Exercise has been found to alleviate low self esteem, and build self confidence, particularly within adolescents.
