The National Three Peaks Challenge takes in the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in 24 hours.
Meet Team Cairnt Be Arsed! We've decided to take on the Three Peaks instead of just, you know, having a nice day somewhere flat. Our line-up: Lewis - the one who somehow convinced the others this was “fun.” Simon - the one bringing a hip flask and questionable mountain wisdom. Alyx - the one way in over her head. John - the driver, medic, chef, and entertainer. We’re dragging ourselves up three mountains not just for bragging rights, but so Lewis can raise money for Durham Wildlife Trust. They’re the legends working hard to protect our local wild spaces, from red squirrels and otters to wildflower meadows and ancient woodlands. Basically, they make sure nature doesn’t pack up and leave County Durham. Every blister, every wheezy breath, and every “are we nearly there yet?” moment will help support the Trust’s incredible conservation work. So please chuck a few quid our way! It’ll keep us climbing and keep Durham’s wildlife thriving!
