Pylons to Peaks

About the National Three Peaks Challenge

The National Three Peaks Challenge takes in the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in 24 hours.

“Endometriosis impacts on the physical and mental health of 1 in 10 women and those assigned female at birth in the UK. That’s over 1.5 million who desperately need support and information to help them understand this chronic condition.” “Endometriosis occurs when cells similar to the ones in the lining of the womb (uterus) are found elsewhere in the body. These cells can grow and change in response to hormones in the menstrual cycle, this can cause inflammation, pain and scar tissue”. Endometriosis is a painful condition which can take an average of 8 years to diagnose and can lead to fertility problems. It still receives very little recognition, despite affecting numerous women and teenage girls, and remains a taboo subject. We are a group of specialist surveyors who are keen to raise money for this important cause. Endometriosis UK is working hard to raise awareness about Endometriosis, expanding support and information services, campaigning to reduce diagnosis times, and pushing for increased investment in research. Please give generously. This cause is so important and will make such a difference to the lives of the women affected and the people close to them.
