The National Three Peaks Challenge takes in the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in 24 hours.
Pints for Paps – National Three Peaks Challenge Earlier this year, I lost my grandfather on my birthday — my Papa — a man who was someone very special to me. One of the things we always shared was going for a pint together. It was our time, just us, and those moments meant more than just a drink — they were about connection, conversation, and spending time together. Towards the end of his life, the care he received from St Gemma’s Hospice meant everything to my family. The compassion, dignity, and support they gave him — and us — will never be forgotten. That’s why I want to give something back to help them continue the incredible work they do for other families. I’m also raising money for Two Pints Deep, a men’s mental health charity focused on tackling loneliness and encouraging men to open up and talk. Too many men struggle in silence, and sometimes all it takes is sitting down with a mate, sharing a pint, and having a proper conversation. To raise money for these two amazing charities, I’ll be taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge with two of my mates, Noah and Archie — climbing the three highest mountains in England, Scotland, and Wales. At the top of each peak, we’ll have a pint each in memory of my Paps — a small tribute to the moments we shared. This challenge is part of a bigger idea called Pints for Paps — encouraging people to check in on their mates, spend time together, and never take those moments with their friends and family for granted.
