The National Three Peaks Challenge takes in the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales in 24 hours.
Colleagues in the Shielding Group at TNPG (The Nuclear Power Group), Radbroke Hall, Knutsford. Did it after an article in the AA magazine Drive (Summer 1968) reported on Chris Bonnington doing the 3 toughest climbs on the 3 mountains in 24 hours. We wondered if 3 guys with little hill walking experience could walk up (AND DOWN) all 3 in 24 hours
