Between Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd June 2013 Colin Diamond, Will Lord, Tom and Greg Adams are completing the 3 Peaks Challenge to raise money for The Stroke Association. More needs to be done to help victims recover and get as much of their life back as possible following a stroke. A stroke can happen to anyone, at anytime, no matter how fit or healthy you are. We are aiming to raise £1000 in the next few weeks and will be doing the 3 peaks challenge to gain sponsorship and raise awareness.
Fundraising pageEvery five minutes someone in the UK has a stroke, including children and babies. There are over a million stroke survivors across the UK, many living with disabilities that affect their daily lives. The Stroke Association’s Life After Stroke Services support nearly 40,000 people affected by stroke every year. Their Stroke Information Service and Stroke Helpline handle a further 21,000 requests for information. But this is just a small percentage of stroke survivors and their families. The Stroke Association believe in life after stroke and campaign to improve stroke care and support people to make the best possible recovery. They also fund research into new treatments and ways to prevent stroke but as a charity they rely on your donations to change lives and prevent stroke
